It’s A Cracker Of Show Say 15m
Sunday night’s rescheduled episode of Cracker managed to pull in 15.69 million viewers. The show had a 58% share of the night’s viewing at 9.00pm, beating BBC1’s adaptation of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice by exactly 6 million as well as having 5.87 million more viewers than the Monday night repeat episode from the previous series of Cracker.
BBC1 had a much better Saturday night line up, beating all of ITV’s direct equivalent programmes. At the start of the evening BBC1’s Generation Game attracted 10.14 million people compared to 8.06 million for Gladiators on ITV, then there was Noel’s House Party and the National Lottery which had 11.69 million and 13.39 million viewers respectively against ITV’s Blind Date which had 10.39. BBC1’s biggest audience of the night went to Casualty which had 15.46 million viewers compared to only 6.81 million viewers for ITV’s Raise The Roof.
Total television viewing for the week ending 22/10/95 has fallen by 3.6% when compared to the same week last year.
