QVC Triples Size Of Call Centre To Cope With Demand
QVC, the television shopping channel, has increased net sales for the second calendar quarter to £7.38 million. This compares to £2.81 million for the same period last year.
According to QVC the third quarter has started well for the 21 month old channel, with July gross orders over seven days of £1.24m which beat its ’94 pre Christmas peak. Single day sales shipped have reached over £300,000 in July and new customers are joining at the rate of approximately 20,000 per month.
QVC is tripling the size of its call centre as well as investing in installing a voice response unit so that it can cope with increased demand.
