The latest Rajar figures, for Q1 1995 include data for the local station Kiss 102, and the regional licences Scot FM, Heart 100.7 FM and JFM North West.

Scot FM performed well, with a weekly reach of 349,000, or 13%, up 49% on its previous data, for Q4 1994, which showed a weekly reach of 234,000 (8%). Scot FM’s share of listening is 3.8%, compared to 2.1% last period.

Heart 100.7 FM also fared significantly better than in the last quarter, with weekly reach up 103,000 to 12% from 9%. Its share of listening has almost doubled, from 3.6% last quarter to 6.2%; total listening hours were 3,310,000. JFM North West however, recorded a decrease in weekly reach compared to last quarter, down by 63,000 from a 6% reach to 4%. Its share of listening also decreased, down from 1.8% to 1.0%.

Kiss 102, the Manchester based local station, in its first reporting period, recorded a weekly reach of 215,000 or 8%; a 2.7% share of listening and total hours listened to 1,347,000.
