Golden Rose Results
Golden Rose Communications has reported a loss of £987,000 for the six months to the end of March. The group, which owns the two JFM stations in London and the North West, recorded an operating loss of £1.101m.
Part of the loss is attributed to the launch costs of Viva, Golden Rose’s new London station aimed at ABC1 25-44 year old women. Viva, which will be 50% speech and 50% music, is due to begin broadcasting on July 3.
JFM 102.2 in London made an operating profit for the first time since it was acquired by Golden Rose in 1991.
