PPA Response To Green Paper

PPA Response To Green Paper

The PPA has criticised the Green Paper for ignoring calls to allow magazine publishers to turn their titles into TV programmes. There are currently 33 magazines that have launched as a result of TV programmes and publishers argue that this should be allowed to work in reverse.

Commenting on the Green Paper PPA chief executive, Ian Locks, said; “What we seek is a level playing field for publishers: to allow broadcasters a one way advantage is clearly unfair and extremely shortsighted. There are many magazine titles which would be extended into successful television programmes. They should have the right to do so.”
