New system means publishers can update agencies even faster

MediaTel Online Updating system

A new online system has been launched to allow publishers to update their press information instantly to agencies – as and when it changes.

MediaTel Group unveiled its new Online Updating system in October, which allows publishers to easily update information about their titles.

This is the latest in a number of investments by the company to further grow the scope and enhance the quality of the MediaTel.co.uk product.

A new interface was launched earlier this year; the Press+ database with greatly-extended functionality went live last year; Mobile gets its own section from early December; and
Online data for pure-plays and publishers will be expanded in the first quarter of next year.

MediaTel’s Press database currently includes over 10,000 consumer and business magazines, national and regional newspapers with twenty years worth of readership and circulation figures, latest rates and contact details, and editorial profiles.

Nearly 100 agencies, including 26 of the top 30, use the system – many of them daily. These account for £2 billion of annual press spend.

Since going live five weeks ago, more than 800 publishers have logged in and used the new online updating system.

Winners of a launch promotion – a £500 prize – were Roger Woodward of South West Media Group and Mark Lightfoot of PBW News.
