EMAP has announced it is to buy Herald & Post Newspapers from Thomson Regional Newspapers, subject to the consent of the Department of Trade and Industry. Herald & Post Newspapers comprises four free titles in Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire. In the year ending December 1994, the titles achieved a turnover of £4.2 million.
