Future Publishing have secured the rights from Sony to publish the Official Playstation Magazine, a week after independent publishers VN Publishers announced they were to launch PSX, the first unofficial title dedicated to the new console (Newsline 12/7/95).
The Official Playstation Magazine will launch on 21st September with cover price of £4.99 and an initial print run of 60,000, double that of its rival PSX. The editorial will cover news, reviews, playing tips and will be solely dedicated to the Playstation hardware and software, with a core target audience of men between 16-25.
