TV Overnights: Final Frost bows out with 8.8m

Last night saw the final ever A Touch of Frost on ITV1, with the detective show grabbing a peak audience of 8.8 million viewers.

On from 9pm to 11pm, the show bowed out with an average of 8.3 million viewers, a 44% share of the audience.

On BBC One at 9pm for an hour, MasterChef: The Final Three peaked with around 4.6 million viewers – a 17.2% share – while an average of 4.3 million viewers (a 16.1% share) stayed with it for its duration.

Last night’s instalment saw the remaining contestants head to Jodhpur in India for three of their toughest tests yet.

Channel 4’s Comedy Gala, on from 9pm to 11.05pm, featured some of the biggest names in British comedy performing at London’s 02 in aid of Great Ormond Street hospital.

A peak of almost 2.3 million viewers (an 8.4% share) tuned into the fun, with an average of 2.2 million (a 9.9% share) sticking with it for its two hour running time.
