C4 To Pay £57.3m To ITV Companies

The ITC has today announced that C4 will pay £57.3m to the Channel 3 licensees for 1994. The ITC has determined that total terrestrial qualifying revenue for 1994 was £1,993.6m; Channel 4 earned qualifying revenue of £393.9m. This would make C4’s contribution £57.4m. However, the ITC audits of 1993 revenue have resulted in a slight revision to that year’s payments, a reduction of £82k, which is reflected in 1994’s payments, reducing them to £57.3m. The ITC has warned that the 1994 payment may also be subject to revision.
