The Media Business Group has refused to comment on reports that it is planning to open a Scottish operation.
It is thought that Allan Rich, chairman of the Media Business, and Steve Allan, the group’s chief executive, have been talking to agencies in the area with a view to forming a partnership. Barkers Communications Scotland has been mentioned in connection with this.
The speculation comes at a time when Media Business is planning to launch a similar project in Manchester *New Agency For Manchester. This has a provisional title of Media Business North and will be formed by a partnership between three ex-CIA Media bosses.
