NewsEyeQ, the online business information service, has folded after only six months. The service, which was launched in May, was a joint venture between DataTimes Corporation and News International provided access to a database of some 6000 information sources from around the world *On-Line Business Service To Launch.
The main reason for NewsEyeQ’s demise appears to be the fact that it was using its own customised software which could not compete with the more widespread and flexible services offered via the Internet. News International is now believed to be planning a new business information service via the World Wide Web which it says will be announced in the near future.
