The ITC has advertised a single licence to provide an additional service or services on the spare capacity of the Channel 5 frequency.
Applicants will be free to propose any mixture of teletext or similar services on an open access or closed group basis. The ten-year licence will be awarded depending on the highest cash bid. The deadline for applications is 28 February 1997 and the proposed service must begin no later than 30 June 1998.
