Advertising group JCDecaux has reported a revenue increase of €623 million, in the three months to the end of June. This is an organic growth of 11.3% year-on-year – ahead of the 9% company guideline.

The company also reported that like-for-like revenues were up 8.7% to €1.1 billion across the first six months of the year.

JCDecaux said it expects growth to continue in the third quarter, predicting third quarter organic revenue growth to be “at least in line” with the second quarter.

“Our first half 2010 numbers reflect a clear improvement in organic revenues driven by our key markets, France, the UK, China and the USA, as advertisers raised their levels of spending and increasingly favoured the quality of JCDecaux’s portfolio,” said the JCDecaux co-chief executive, Jean-Charles Decaux.

“While the potential impact of austerity measures on consumption and the global economy remains unclear, short-term trading conditions continue to be positive in most markets.”

In the UK, like-for-like revenues were up 13.5% year-on-year in the first six months to €125 million. These figures don’t include the impact of Titan Outdoor UK, which JCDecaux acquired earlier this year. When factored in, it means that UK revenues are up more than 50%.
