Classic Gets Connected
A new programme, Get Technology!, will feature in Classic FM’s autumn line-up. The programme, together with Technology Week, will focus on the latest technology on the market and includes competitions and prizes.
Also in the schedule is Classic World of Opera which will feature the likes of Domingo, Pavarotti and Dame Kiri Te Kanawa. A special weekend will also be devoted to the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
Other programmes include Russian Revolution, featuring unheard Russian music, Music of the Americas which is a six part Latin American special and live coverage of autumn party political conferences.
Classic FM will also celebrate its fourth birthday in Classic FM Money Marathon to raise funds for the National Appeal for Music Therapy.
RAJAR results for the second quarter of 1996 showed a decrease of 3.47% in weekly reach of Classic FM. Listening share also dropped from 3.3% to 3.1%.
