Jan-Jun ’96 ABC Figures: Gardening, Golf And Photography Sectors

Within the gardening sector ABC figures released this morning show that most titles have experienced a decline in circulation. Garden Answers recorded the largest drop, down 17.9% to 138,356 copies, whilst Practical Gardening dropped over 14% to just over 62,000. Gardens Illustrated was the strongest title, with an increase of over 26% to over 48,000 copies.

Golf titles put in a weak performance: Golf Monthly, Today’s Golfer and Fore! all declined in circulation, showing drops of 5.1%, 4.1% and 8.1% respectively. Only Golf World showed an increase – of 18 copies.

The photography market is in a similar situation, with three titles showing drops and one a slight increase: Photo Answers dropped 11.6% to 38,007; Amateur Photography fell 8.2% to just over 32,000 and Practical Photography fell by 0.7% to 77,249. Only Photo Technique recorded an increase – up 1.2% to 39,056.
