TV Overnights: BBC One’s The Secret Tourist wins the peak position

BBC One’s The Secret Tourist won the peak slot of 9pm to 10pm last night, with just under 4 million viewers, and a share of 17.8%.

This was despite competition from ITV1’s Police, Camera, Action, which secured an audience of 1.6 million, and a 7.4% share.

Elsewhere, BBC2’s The Normans attracted 2.5 million viewers and a 11.5% share, while Channel 4’s The Raoul Moat Tapes managed 1.6 million viewers and a 7.4% share.

Five’s NCIS secured an audience of 1.4 million, and gained a 6.1% share.

ITV1 won the 8pm to 9pm slot, with Emmerdale (8pm to 8.30pm) attracting 6.2 million viewers and a 28.6% share, and Coronation Street (8.30pm to 9pm) securing 6.9 million viewers and a 29.2% share.

BBC One dominated the morning television schedule, as usual, with BBC Two winning the most slots in the afternoon.
