BBC One’s Who Do You Think You Are? took the peak slot of 9pm to 10pm once again, with 5.8 million viewers and a 23.1% average share – up on last week’s 5.2 million viewers, and a 21.4% share
BC Two’s Dragons’ Den provided competition, managing to attract an audience of 2.7 million viewers, and gain a share of 10.7%.
Elsewhere, ITV’s Real Crime with Mark Austin secured 2.5 million viewers and a 10% share, while Channel 4’s The Hospital achieved an audience of 1.7 million and a 6.6% share.
Five’s film Lethal Weapon 4 managed 1.4 million viewers and an average 7% share overall.
TV1 won the 7pm to 8pm slot, with Emmerdale (7pm to 7.30pm) securing just under 7 million viewers and a 33.2% share, and the first of a Coronation Street two-parter (7.30pm to 8pm) achieving 8.7 million viewers and a 38.4% share.
During the same slot, BBC One’s The One Show attracted 4.3 million viewers and a 20.4% share.
BBC One’s Eastenders won the 8pm to 8.30pm slot, with 8.5 million viewers and a 34.2% share.
ITV1’s second episode of Coronation Street, showing from 8.30pm to 9pm, won the highest ratings for its slot, with 8.3 million viewers, and a share of 33.3%.
During the day, BBC One dominated the morning television schedule, with BBC Two briefly taking over in the afternoon.
