UTV Media to distribute its Sport magazine in Manchester and Birmingham

UTV Media, owner of TalkSport radio station, is extending distribution of its free weekly Sport magazine.

The magazine is currently distributed by hand in London, and hand-distribution trials are soon to take place in Manchester and Birmingham.

UTV Media are also considering launching Sport magazine in the Republic of Ireland.

The title was acquired by UTV Media from Sport Media & Strategie in May last year.

Although Sport was making a loss under its previous owner, reports state that is has made an operating profit of £3.2 million in the first half of 2010.
