According to trade press reports, two Sunday newspaper journalists are planning to launch a new national Sunday broadsheet. It is believed that the two, whose identities are not known, are currently looking for backing to the tune of £30 million.
If the rumours are proved correct, this would be the fourth new paper this year. Sunday Business launched in April, the Planet On Sunday survived only four days in June and, as reported on Newsline *New National Paper Planned, a new daily tabloid called Today’s News, is planned for launch later this year.
