The Radio Authority has today advertised a new Independent Local Radio Licence for East London. Coverage will be for London Boroughs of Tower Hamlets, Newham, Barking and Havering on the FM (VHF) frequency. Coverage is not possible for all the areas indicated, therefore applicants need to specify the areas they are interested in.
The licence is for a period of eight years with the closing date being Tuesday 17 December 1996. A fee of £250 (non-refundable) will be payable. The Authority will announce the successful applicant in Spring 1997.
