CLT UK Radio is to provide commercial production studio facilities for New Wave Broadcasting. The facilities is part of CLT’s backing on New Wave’s bid for the Brighton & Hove radio licence. CLT took a 20% stake in New Wave Broadcasting’s bid in August *(CLT Interested In East Sussex Licence) and already have a 20% stake in the South West London licence area.
David Atkey, Director of operations at CLT’s Talk Radio and a New Wave Board member, said: “New Wave Broadcasting exemplifies everything that is good about the new local area option licence opportunities. The group has a strong local track record of producing RSLs, having played a substantial role in key local events such as the Brighton Festival through Festival FM broadcasts.”
