BBC One’s Silent Witness claimed the peak-hour ratings once again last night.
The hour-long crime drama attracted more than 7.1 million peak viewers and a 27% average audience share between 9pm and 10pm, despite a competitive prime time line-up.
ITV1 aired the fourth episode of The Biggest Loser, which pulled in 3.6 million average viewers and a 14.2% share, while Channel 4’s popular real-life documentary One Born Every Minute continued with 2.3 million viewers and a 9% share.
Meanwhile, BBC Two’s peak-hour Horizon: The Secret World of Pain picked up 1.7 million viewers and a 6.7% average audience share.
Over on Channel 5, the 9 o’clock film Murder at 1600 with Wesley Snipes achieved an average audience of 1.1 million viewers and a 5.5% audience share.
However, BBC One’s Eastenders was the overall ratings winner of the night, banking 9.8 million peak viewers. In the same pre-watershed run, ITV1’s Coronation Street peaked with 9.6 million viewers, while Emmerdale attracted a high of 8 million.
