News International’s pilot men’s magazine Jam will be included in the News of the World on 6 March, according to Media Week.

The men’s fashion title, which has only been commissioned for a one-off (for now), has secured a range of advertisers including L’Oreal and Alberto Culver.

The 56-page magazine will feature style and grooming content, as well as gadget, fitness, food, music and film content.

Paul Hayes, managing director of NI Commercial, said: “We are convinced that there is a need for an intelligent title with scale for both our male audience and our commercial partners.

“It’s a really exciting time for this market and we believe we have a product that will deliver great results in all areas.”

The pilot comes amid falling circulation figures for many established men’s magazine brands. In last week’s ABC Consumer Magazines release, FHM, Nuts, Zoo and Loaded all posted significant year on year declines.

The titles currently leading the Men’s Lifestyle market include freebies Shortlist and Sport, with Men’s Health in third place (despite seeing its circulation fall by 1.9% year on year).
