ITV1’s coverage of the UEFA Champions League live goalless draw between Chelsea and FC Copenhagen attracted a high of more than 4.5 million viewers at 9pm last night.
However, ITV1’s football wasn’t enough to bank the prime time ratings. BBC One dominated the Wednesday schedule with The Boat That Guy Built, Waterloo Road and Masterchef.

At the same time, ITV1’s football coverage achieved an average audience of 3.7 million viewers and a 16% share. Emmerdale secured ITV1’s highest ratings of the night – peaking with 6.9 million viewers at 7pm.
In the all-important 9pm to 10pm slot, BBC Two’s new Andrew Tait film Leaving Amish Paradise was a hit, winning more than 2.3 million peak viewers.
