New Chairman For Sunday Business

Luke Johnson, chairman of PizzaExpress, has made a large investment in Tom Rubython’s Sunday Business newspaper and will become its chairman.

Mr Johnson is understood to be taking a stake of around 25% in the paper which is currently owned almost wholly by a consortium of British business men. Although the paper has faced serious financial difficulties in the past *Sunday Business Faces Restructure, Mr Johnson believes that the paper has now established a small but loyal readership. Current estimates of the paper’s circulation put it at between 40,000 and 50,000.
