Cordiant Stabilised
At yesterday’s Annual General Meeting, Charlie Scott, Chairman of Cordiant, announced that financial stability of the group had been restored following the departure of Maurice Saatchi in 1994. He confirmed that during the first half of 1995, £23 million of revenue came from clients subsequently lost, but “due to the tenacity of staff in our companies around the world this revenue has been replaced with new assignments from both existing and new clients such as Procter and Gamble, Royal Mail, Bell Atlantic and Spillers, amongst others.”
He predicted that revenue and trading position for the first half of 1996 will therefore be similar to the first half of 1995; and “for the full year we remain on course to achieve market expectations for both revenue and profits.”
