First Ever Pan-European Commercial Radio Station To Launch
European Broadcasting Corporation is to launch the first ever pan-european commercial radio station later this year, it has announced.
With the support of the European Commission, the 24-hour youth oriented station will be broadcast on terrestrial FM networks, satellite and cable, in English. The programming format will include a european mixture of chart music and speech from a host of European personalities.
The company behind the radio station, European Broadcasting Corporation has applied for the last London FM Licence due to awarded in October, as part of the transmission process for the station.
The final details have yet to be arranged for the station, but in the next two or three weeks the name of the station, its key presenters and its exact distribution will all be announced. Sales for the station are to be handled by Katz Radio Sales.
