Channel 4 To Form Own Sponsorship Operation

Channel 4 confirmed today that it will be forming its own in-house sponsorship sales operation. This comes as a result of Simon Lynds, who previously handled sponsorship for Channel 4 on behalf of Scott Lynds, leaving Scott Lynds to become chief executive of Katz Radio Sales (Newsline 13/03).

No other details are available at present, but a spokesman told MediaTel that it is likely that the new operation will be run by a head of department within Channel 4.

Partnerships currently running on Channel 4 include Nokkia and Film on Four and Sprite and NBA basketball.
