Lowe Group Buys Interfocus

The Lowe Group has bought a majority shareholding in the multi-discipline agency Interfocus, which will be combined with Lowe’s current through-the-line operation, The Brompton Agency.

The newly merged agency will still be called Interfocus and will be headed by Sandy Scott and Matthew Hooper, the original founders of Interfocus. The agency currently provides an integrated service, incorporating sales promotion, direct marketing, advertising and design to clients including BP and Whitbread.

Matthew Hooper, managing director of Interfocus, commented: “We are in no doubt that this alliance will enable us to better equip clients with a strengthened pool of talent and access to a group of highly skilled companies which will meet the commercial and marketing challenges of tomorrow, both in the UK and internationally”.

Interfocus will now have combined billings in excess of £50 million and a staff of over 80, making it the largest multi-disciplinary agency in the UK. The new company will be based in the Lowe Group building.
