TV Overnights: Harry’s Arctic Heroes banks 4.8m viewers

BBC One banked a prime time ratings run last night with Eastenders, Holby City and Harry’s Arctic Heroes.

Eastenders secured the highest audience of the night, attracting over eight million peak viewers and a 37.6% average audience share between 7.30pm and 8pm.

Hospital drama Holby City followed with a high of 5.4 million viewers and a 24.3% average share, before the first part of Harry’s Arctic Heroes.

The programme, in which Prince Harry accompanies four wounded soldiers on a polar expedition, won a peak audience of 4.8 million viewers and a 19.1% average audience share during the 9pm to 10pm slot.

Elsewhere in the peak-hour, BBC Two’s popular drama The Hour finished on a high of more than two million peak viewers and a 7.2% share, while ITV1’s Unforgiven settled on 1.6 million viewers and a 7.1% share.

On Channel 4, Seven Dwarves secured 2.3 million average viewers and a 10.2% audience share, while Channel 5’s CSI: Miami banked 1.8 million viewers and a 8.2% share.

At 10pm, Channel 5’s brand new Celebrity Big Brother attracted over 2.3 million average viewers and a 12.7% share.
