Mail Online

The UK’s national newspaper websites enjoyed a boost in usage in July, with almost all audited sites recording an increase – a positive change from last month, which saw just one site post a rise.

The Independent’s website was the only digital offering to see its daily unique browser count fall – down -0.6%.

Guardian.co.uk saw the biggest percentage increase during the month, up 7.5% to 2,810,046 daily unique browsers.

Mail Online remains the UK’s busiest site with 4,239,304 unique browsers each day (on average) after a positive 4.4% rise.

The Telegraph also saw a 2.3% increase to 1,965,481, while the Mirror Group Digital was up 1.0% to 737,494. Last month, Mirror Group was the only national newspaper site to report an increase in daily unique browsers, up 3.32% to 730,296. This was attributed to a marketing campaign which boosted traffic to the Mirror’s mobile site.
