Although yesterday’s share prices saw MAI and United News and Media almost hitting their best performance of the year prior to news of their merger, early trading today shows that both companies have dropped a little: MAI yesterday was at 448p (highest this year was 450p) compared with today’s 432p; United yesterday was at 652p (highest this year was 664p) compared with today’s 645p.
In terms of other media companies, Carlton, HTV, STV and Border all showed very slight increases in early trading this morning after some substantial jumps in their share prices yesterday. YTT TV remains at its highest price this year – 900p.
