BBC One secured the highest ratings all evening yesterday with Eastenders, Holby City and The Body Farm.
Eastenders achieved the top audience figures of the day with 7.9 million peak viewers and a 37% average share between 7.30pm and 8pm.
The Beeb’s long-running hospital drama Holby City followed with five million peak viewers and a 22% average share in the 8pm to 9pm slot, before the third episode of The Body Farm – a new drama starring Tara Fitzgerald – which attracted a high of 4.9 million viewers and a 20.3% share in the 9pm to 10pm peak-hour.
BBC One also held on to the peak ratings in the post-10pm slot with BBC News at Ten, which pulled in over four million viewers and Hedge Wars (3m peak).
Elsewhere during the 9pm to 10pm peak-slot, Hairy Bikers Meals on Wheels banked 1.8 million average viewers for BBC Two, while 71 Degrees North achieved peak ratings of 2.3 million for ITV1.
On Channel 4, the final Seven Dwarves secured 1.3 million average viewers and a 5.7% audience share during the peak-hour, while Channel 5’s CSI: Miami settled on 1.5 million average viewers and a 6.8% share.
