On Monday the Financial Times will increase its cover price by 5p to 70p. The FT had survived the price war among the broadsheets during ’93 and ’94 and the price increases which have seen the Daily Telegraph, The Times and the Independent increase their prices by 10p each since July ’95. This is the first time the FT has increased its price since January 1993.
