The latest goings on down under in ITV1’s I’m a Celebrity proved to be more than a match for BBC1’s coverage of Children in Need Rocks Manchester charity concert.
Last night’s jungle show, which saw new arrivals Pat Sharp and Sinitta join the existing camp members, pulled in an average audience of 7.7 million across ITV1 and ITV1 HD.
Over on BBC1 a healthy 4.3 million viewers tuned into the Children in Need concert spin-off, which saw acts such as JLS, Lady Gaga, Elbow, Coldplay and the event’s organiser Gary Barlow all performing in aid of the long running charity event.
Elsewhere the latest offerings from BBC2’s Thursday night comedy strand saw religious comedy Rev and Ricky Gervais’s new mockumentary Life’s Too Short both lose around one million viewers on last week’s totals, with audiences of 1.6 and 1.4 million respectively.
