Despite being axed from their breakfast show in favour of Chris Evans (subscribers see Chris Evans Will Host Virgin Breakfast Show), Russ ‘n Jono have signed a new contract with Virgin Radio for a drivetime show between 4-7pm each weekday. The pair are said to have been considering the alternative slot since last Friday when it was announced Chris Evans would be joining Virgin next Monday.
…A sponsorship deal between Kellogs and the Virgin breakfast show has fallen through because of the departure of Russ ‘n Jono. The deal was negotiated earlier this year specifically for the Breakfast Experience. The Chris Evans slot is now looking for a sponsor.
