The Connected TV Marketing Association, has expanded its professional industry network to Europe with the appointment of Michael Lantz, CEO of Stockholm-based TV apps specialist Accedo Broadband, as its president for Europe, while Dr William Cooper, CEO and founder of informitv, will function as its Honorary UK Chair.
The CTVMA was formed a couple of weeks ago by James Grant Hay, founder and CEO of strategic consultancy InShot, and Zachary Wiener, a founder of several marketing consultancies. Mr. Grant Hay is president of the CTVMA’s APAC operations, while Mr. Wiener is president of the its North American operations.
“We are delighted to have Michael Lantz, CEO and founder of Accedo as our president of Europe, ” said Grant Hay. “As one of the world’s leaders in the TV app industry, Michael will play a key role in opening up industry trade dialogue amongst both the CE industry, as well as leaders of broadcasting, advertising and entertainment in Europe”.
CTVMA is embarking on a series of information and education programme initiatives in Europe designed to inform and educate the advertising, media and entertainment sector on the commercial opportunities of Connected TV platforms. In addition the body plans to release its CE Information Packs to the industry at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas in January 2012.
