Newsline would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year. We will be taking a break over the festive season, but will return on 3 January with the sharpest opinion and analysis from our current Media Leaders and many more new faces.
If you haven’t quite had enough of 2011 yet, Raymond Snoddy sums up the year perfectly in his latest article Definitely not a vintage year.
“Maybe it’s not a total Bah Humbug year after all… we have the Dickens bi-centenary to look forward to. But we hope for much better in 2012,” he writes.
Meanwhile, Greg Grimmer gives a slightly different view of 2011 in Your first sociable review of the year – where he looks back at Facebook’s ever-increasing IPO valuation, the royal wedding and the News of the World fiasco.
Next year we can look forward to Leveson delivering his verdict on the phone-hacking scandal, YouView finally launching, the third series of ITV’s Downton Abbey, the Olympics, Paralympics and Euro 2012.
All of this and much more will be discussed on Newsline and at MediaTel Group events in 2012 – so please continue to get involved.
Best wishes,
