IPC has appointed Sylvia Auton, publishing director of the Science and Special Interest group, to the position of new media publishing director. She will take up her new role on January 2, which will still include publishing responsibilities for the special interest portfolio. New Scientist leaves the group as a result of the sale of IPC by Reed (subscribers see Reed Confirms IPC Sell-Off).
…IPC has promoted Iain McKenzie to deputy circulation manager at the women’s weeklies department. He was previously senior circulation executive at the publisher.
