Chrysalis Buys Kiss Stations
Chrysalis Group announced this morning that it will be buying the Kiss radio stations in Manchester and Yorkshire.
The deal values the stations at £17.5m and Chrysalis, which owns the Heart and Galaxy 101 stations, will be funding the expansion through a £20m placing and open offer at 525p a share.
Kiss 102, in Manchester, has a weekly reach of around 245,000. It is estimated that the acquisition would give Chrysalis a potential audience of 21.8m which is around 46% of the UK’s adult population.
Q2 RAJAR results are released on Friday afternoon and will be available that day on Newsline.
