Cut Price Women’s Weeklies At Tesco

Tesco supermarket chain is to cut the price of all women’s weekly magazines by 20 per cent from today for four weeks. Tesco says that it is part of a campaign to demonstrate the need for a more flexible pricing scheme for magazines. According to Tesco the distribution system for magazines makes it difficult for the supermarkets to offer titles at normally reduced supermarket prices, and they are therefore unable to pass on price-cutting promotions.
