ITV’s chief executive Adam Crozier has forecast a 17% increase in advertising revenues for June due to the number of campaigns around the Queen’s Jubilee and the Euro 2012s.
The commercial broadcaster has reported a 1% fall in TV ad revenues for Q1 but expects May to be up 6% and June up between 12% and 17%.
In Q1, ITV Studios enjoyed a 61% increase in total revenues to £212 million. ITV said that its production division also performed well internationally, particularly in the US, with external revenues up 95% to £125 million in the first quarter.
Broadcasting and online revenues were up 1% in Q1 to £440 million. Online and on-demand viewing grew by 24% year on year to 110 million.
However, ITV’s interim trading statement shows a 2% drop in viewing across the broadcaster’s family of channels in the four months to the end of April.
ITV’s share price was up almost 5% in early trading to 85p.
