Fewer Ad Complaints
There were fewer complaints in the first quarter of this year about the quality of radio adverts on commercial radio than there were about the quality of programmes. These findings are detailed in the Radio Authority’s Quarterly Bulletin for this period.
Between January and March of this year the Authority received 80 complaints about advertising and sponsorship compared with 89 complaints about programmes. This represents a decrease year-on-year of 21% for advertising, but an increase of 31% for programming
Of the 80 complaints regarding advertising and sponsorship, the Authority upheld 12, compared with 22 in the corresponding period last year.
