ITV’s breakfast slot kicked off a new era today as Susanna Reid – poached from BBC breakfast – launched the much-anticipated Good Morning Britain.
The show, also presented by Ben Shephard, Sean Fletcher and Charlotte Hawkins, brought the latest news headlines and scored a One Direction exclusive with some behind-the-scenes footage for their new video.
TV personality Paul O’Grady was also on the show in his first TV interview since his heart scare in November last year whilst Andi Peters presented a “Wheel of Cash” competition slot from Kirkgate Market in Leeds, inviting visitors to win prizes.
The Twitter reaction for the latest offering has been mixed, with some viewers praising the “slick” and “fast pace” news, while others said it still remains inferior to BBC Breakfast.
