AppNexus makes new senior ad hires

SAP’s Michele Weber joins as vice president and head of ATG global marketing.

Ad tech company AppNexus has appointed Google’s Doina Harris as vice president of the Advertiser Technology Group (ATG) in EMEA, and SAP’s Michele Weber as vice president and head of ATG global marketing.

Reporting directly to ATG’s general manager, Casey Birtwell, Harris and Weber’s appointments come as the company’s global workforce surpasses the 1,000 employee mark – doubling over the last 15 months.

ATG is responsible for producing technology for advertisers, agencies and ad tech companies that serve buy-side market participants.

Prior to AppNexus, Harris held senior-level roles at Google since 2007, including director of sales operations and strategy for southern and eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa, while Weber was vice president, growth marketing and communications at SAP.

“This is a tremendously exciting time for AppNexus,” said company president Michael Rubenstein.

“By every measure – whether by revenue, breadth of product offering, or workforce – AppNexus continues to grow and push the boundaries of what’s possible in digital advertising. Buyers and sellers of advertising need a scaled, independent leader to help them grow their businesses.”
