JCDecaux hires Mashable’s Ben Maher for senior sales role

JCDecaux has appointed Ben Maher (pictured, left) as sales and partnerships director, while promoting Dallas Wiles to commercial director.

Reporting to new co-CEO Spencer Berwin, Maher will be responsible for building relationships with clients and agencies. He joins from Mashable where he was executive director EMEA for just over a year.

Wiles, who has worked at the out-of-home advertising company for 17 years, will head up JCDecaux’s commercial division where he will be responsible for trading, specialist relationships and campaign and inventory management.

“Both Ben and Dallas are exceptional assets to our company and bring a wealth of internal and external industry experience,” Berwin said.

“JCDecaux has rapidly changed into a digitally-focused business. Our London digital roll-out will add 1,000 digital screens to our offering, and we expect 50 per cent of UK advertising revenues to be coming from digital. Having both Ben and Dallas on board in these key positions will propel our digital offering and potential to the next level.”
