Hearst UK expands digital sales team

Lee Mabey has been appointed group digital director

UK magazine publisher Hearst has announced a number of senior appointments to its digital advertising team.

Lee Mabey, head of agency partnerships at Ladbible, is to become group digital director of Hearst’s digital sales team where he will be responsible for driving digital revenues across 24 brands.

Katie Kersen, publishing media planner at Havas Media Group, and Guardian News and Media’s Emma D’Arcy both join as digital managers, with Kersen focusing on Cosmopolitan, Sugarscape and ELLE, while D’Arcy will work on ELLE and across Hearst’s Luxury portfolio.

Maxus’ Victoria King has also been appointed digital manager and will work across Hearst’s lifestyle brands including Good Housekeeping, Prima, House Beautiful and Country Living.

Commenting on the appointments, Hayley Cochrane, Hearst’s newly-appointed head of digital sales, said: “Since I joined Hearst we have seen really strong traction with digital revenues up more than 30% year-on-year in the month.

“The potential for me and my new team is huge, as we have fantastic titles, we use data smartly and we know how to use our brands to help our clients reach their audiences and communicate the messages that they want to land.

“These hires strengthen our expertise and skills and put us in a great place to continue the growth that we are seeing in our revenues.”
