The new series will be presented by comedian Richard Ayoade

Smartphone manufacturer OnePlus will sponsor the return of Channel 4’s adventure gameshow The Crystal Maze, which will air at 9pm on Friday 23 June.

The partnership represents OnePlus’ first ever TV sponsorship in the UK and will showcase the brand new OnePlus 5 handset’s high performance dual camera, following its launch on 20 June.

The brand’s sponsorship bumpers will appear around the 20×60 minute series which includes a set of celebrity specials for Stand Up to Cancer, the first of which will star Vicky Pattison, Alex Brooker, Lydia Bright, Louie Spence and Ore Oduba.

Rupinder Downie, partnerships controller, Channel 4 said: “We’re thrilled to provide OnePlus with the perfect prime time platform for their TV sponsorship debut in the UK, enabling them to tap into Channel 4’s Friday night audience as they tune in to the highly anticipated return of The Crystal Maze.”
