Andrew Lowdon joins ISBA to lead agency services

ISBA, the professional body representing UK advertisers, has appointed procurement specialist Andrew Lowdon as its new director of agency services.

Lowdon joins from ISBA member Associated British Foods, where he most recently served as global category leader, marketing procurement, and had responsibility for the procurement of global media and marketing services.

Prior to this, Lowdon worked at companies including GlaxoSmithKline and WPP’s MediaEdge:CIA, before founding his own marketing procurement consultancy with clients including Novartis, Philips, Nokia and J&J.

In his new role, Lowdon will work with marketing services providers and ISBA’s procurement community. He will take responsibility for the organisation’s relationships with agencies, consultancies and intermediaries, ensuring ISBA’s advice to members is up to date.

“Joining ISBA in a role that allows me to support our members as they strive to evolve their agency relationships is exciting in itself, and when combined with being part of the wider discussion about developing sustainable relationships takes the potential of this role to a different level,” Lowdon said.

Meanwhile, Phil Smith, director general of ISBA, commented: “Advertisers are managing increasingly complex sets of external relationships in a rapidly changing world.

“Andrew’s experience makes him ideally suited to ensure ISBA provides the best possible tools and guidance to help members form the contractual and commercial foundations on which to build effective partnerships.”
